Ingredients:

  • About 2 cups Japanese turnips, cut into bite size pieces (radishes would be good here, too!)

  • Turnip greens (roughly chopped)

  • 1 inch fresh ginger, chopped

  • 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • Soy sauce  (I used Coconut Aminos) and pepper to taste

  • About 1 cup water

Instructions:

  • Sauté garlic and ginger in heated pan with sesame oil

  • Add turnips, sauté, add water, cover to cook for 5-10 minutes until soft

  • Water should have evaporated, and turnips are caramelized

  • Add rice vinegar, soy sauce and pepper

  • Add turnip greens, cover to wilt just a few minutes

Serve as a side dish or a snack.
