Ingredients:
About 2 cups Japanese turnips, cut into bite size pieces (radishes would be good here, too!)
Turnip greens (roughly chopped)
1 inch fresh ginger, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
Soy sauce (I used Coconut Aminos) and pepper to taste
About 1 cup water
Instructions:
Sauté garlic and ginger in heated pan with sesame oil
Add turnips, sauté, add water, cover to cook for 5-10 minutes until soft
Water should have evaporated, and turnips are caramelized
Add rice vinegar, soy sauce and pepper
Add turnip greens, cover to wilt just a few minutes
Serve as a side dish or a snack.
