Thai Shrimp Cakes with Sriracha sauce


  • 1 lb shrimp, shelled

  • 1 tablespoon thai curry paste (any type)

  • ¼ cup scallion or cilantro

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs

  • Black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil


  • Put shrimp in a food processor, pulse a few seconds

  • Put the rest of the ingredients in the food processor

  • Pulse until combined

  • Form patties with your hands (wet them first), set aside

  • Heat sesame oil in heated pan

  • Cook patties a few minutes on each side until golden brown

Ingredients for the dipping sauce

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce

  • a bit of chopped scallions

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • Cracked black pepper

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and adjust taste as desired
