Turnip and Carrot Mash


  • 2 cups cubed carrots

  • 2 cups cubed turnips

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons butter or avocado oil

  • 2 tablespoons herbs (like dill and scallions)

  • ¼ cup plant-based milk (or regular)

  • Salt and pepper


  • Boil carrots and turnips together (about 20 minutes until soft)

  • Heat butter in pot, add garlic and half herbs

  • Add carrots and turnips, toss well

  • Add milk if a little dry

  • Mash until desired consistency

  • Salt and pepper to taste
