Panko Crusted Rockfish


  • 1-2 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2 lbs Rockfish fillet (about 2 pieces)

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)

  • ¼ cup Furikake (seaweed/sesame flavoring)

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Thaw fish, cut into fillets

  • Prepare scramble eggs and panko/furikake mixture “stations”

  • Dredge each fillet in egg first, then panko mixture

  •  Heat skillet/pan with sesame oil 

  • Sear fish, 4-5 min on each side until the crust is brown and fish meat is cooked through.
